If you follow me on Instagram or follow my blog, you know I have an unhealthy obsession with Fresh. I recently went and got a facial at the Fresh store in Northpark, and then managed to buy up the store. I think I have almost every product or have tried every product. So it should come as no surprise that when they released 3 new shades in their Sugar Shine Lip Treatment line, I went and snatched one up!
The packaging: This came in its own box. The tube is a clear tube with a dark bronze twist-off cap. The applicator is a doe-footed applicator. The tube is nice and sturdy.
The scent: This has a lemony-fresh scent. It's the scent that most Fresh products have, and as some people have a huge aversion to this scent, I would definitely go smell it before purchasing if you have a sensitive nose.
The product: Rose is a rosy pink. It glided on smoothly and imparts a hint of color on the lips. No matter how many swipes I put on, it never built up to a semi-opaque shade, so if you're looking for a gloss with more opaque coverage, look elsewhere. This wore comfortably for 2 hours, and reapplying was easy. It was hydrating, but less so than the Sugar Lip Treatments. The great thing about this is that it never turned tacky on my lips.
Cost: $18.50

Review: Fresh Sugar Tulip Lip Treatment
So Fresh decided to release a new shade in their Sugar Lip Treatment line, and you know I had to buy it! I actually got to purchase this earlier than the actual public release because Sephora gave that option to their VIB Rouge customers, so I've been wearing it for several weeks now and testing it out.
I think I now have all the lip treatments except Coral and Plum. To see my review on the other lip treatments, click here!
The packaging: This comes in its own box, and the tube is just like all the other lip treatments. It's a screwed-on tube, which is both good and bad. The good part is that there is no way for this tube to accidentally come off inside your purse. The bad part is that it's not as easy to just pop the cap off and apply.
The scent: This is scented like the other lip treatments - that familiar sweet lemon scent. This is a scent that either you really love it or you REALLY hate it. If you see other reviews on these lip treatments, people either really love the scent or think it's the worst. I definitely love this scent and it lingers, so the scent definitely has some staying power.
The product: Tulip is a great summer shade. It's a sheer bright hot pink shade that is buildable. One swipe will give you a very light tint on your lips. These glide on smoothly, but are not weightless. You definitely can tell you're wearing product on your lips. They are very hydrating and last about 3-4 hours on me. They tend to get a little tacky on lips towards the end of 4 hours. Since these are one of the easiest lip products to apply mirror-less, I'm always carrying at least one of these in my purse!
Cost: $22.50

Little tremors of excitement for thisisfeb12!
Hey all!
Still studying like crazy for my boards, so I don't have time to write a review today, but I did want to write a little entry to tide my restless blogger fingers over.
I've been getting more and more excited because little things have started happening due to this blog and the corresponding Instagram account (thisisfeb12). It's nothing compared to bigger and better bloggers, but it's still cool to me!
My photos have been getting noticed (liked and commented!) by Fresh, Lipstick Queen, Boscia, and Vaseline, and Vaseline even went a step further and reposted my photo on their Instagram page!
As for this blog, I'm getting more and more page views every day, and that makes my little heart sing!
So thank you to all of you that stumble upon this page, and I promise to keep writing reviews on all lips products that come my way...even though my wallet hates me for it!

Review: Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments
For my first review on this blog, I've chosen Fresh's line of Sugar Lip Treatments.
I remember buying the original Sugar color several years ago, but it wasn't until about a year ago, that I fell in love with these all over again.
The packaging: I love how these are packaged. They come in their own little box, and the actual tube that encases the product is sturdy (I've dropped these several times and barely made a dent in them!). You have to slightly unscrew the tube to open it, and then you unscrew to push up the product. The only thing I don't like about the packaging is that it has a metallic finish, so when you accidentally rub two tubes together, it's reminiscent of nails on a chalkboard (this might just be me though).
The scent: I love the smell of these! It smells like a very sweet lemon. I'm not sensitive to smells in cosmetics, so I don't know if others would think these are too scented though.
The product: These all go on very smoothly and you can build up the color as much as you would like. These products are not weightless, so you know you're wearing something on your lips though. The great thing about these lip treatments are that they are not sticky and they're easy to reapply without a mirror. They also left my lips feeling smoother and softer. They last about 4 hours on me and the darker colors leave a nice stain on my lips. If you're eating or drinking, you'll have to reapply after.
Favorites: My favorite out of the group is Petal, although it's hard to choose a favorite! I only chose Petal because it's my go-to Sugar and the one I throw in my purse when I'm going out for the day. It's the closest to my natural lip color and enhances it just the right amount.
Cost: $22.50 - pricey for a balm, but you'll fall in love with them and they're SPF 15!
